Frame – 2-Hand Hold (Strong. No “Spaghetti Arms.”)
Leaders:
• R Palm on her L shoulder blade. Fingers slightly downward to lift. Elbows together.
• Tension (pull follower toward you).
• Imagine a “newly inflated balloon.” Not, “a 3-day old balloon.”
Followers:
• Elbows touch at your shoulder level.
• Tension (push them away from you). Deltoid engaged.
Side-to-Side Balance Step with Turn – In 2-Hand Hold (second 6-count):
Leaders:
• R Palm on her L shoulder blade. Fingers slightly downward to lift. Elbows together.
• Tension (pull follower toward you).
• Imagine a “newly inflated balloon.” Not, “a 3-day old balloon.”
Followers:
• Elbows touch at your shoulder level.
• Tension (push them away from you). Deltoid engaged.
Side-to-Side Balance Step with Turn – In 2-Hand Hold (second 6-count):
- Leaders: L foot, sideways step to the L while lifting L hand to signal their turn. Guide the turn under the arch with gentle pressure from your R palm. (1).
- Followers: R foot, sideways step R while turning slightly in a clockwise direction (1).
- Leaders: R foot, sideways step to the L to meet the L foot (2).Let go as you guide the turn. Keep arms up, ready to catch next partner.
- Followers: L foot, step around to continue clockwise turn as you travel to meet your next partner to your right (2).
- Leaders: L foot, step in place (3).
- Followers: R foot, step around to complete clockwise turn. You’re now in front of your new partner (3).
- Leaders: R foot, sideways step to the R. Catch new partner (4).
- Followers: L foot, sideways step to the L with your new partner guiding you (4).
- Leaders: L foot, sideways step to the R side to meet R foot (5).
- Followers: R foot, sideways step to the L to meet L foot (5).
- Leaders: R foot, step in place (6).
- Followers: L foot, step in place (6).
Cues:
- Move sideways with new partner on 4
- Shift weight on every step.
- Leaders, guide her on “1.” Send her to the leader on the L on “ 2, 3.”
- Catch new partner on “4.”
